Nestled within picturesque surroundings, North Grove stands as a haven for competitive horses across the disciplines of eventing, dressage, and showjumping.

Spread over 150 acres, the property boasts a harmonious blend of meticulously groomed turf and sprawling hay fields, enveloping its bespoke barn and show quality all-weather synthetic arena. Bridle paths intricately weave throughout the landscape, offering not only scenic vistas but also versatile exercise options beyond the confines of the ring.

With gated access and under the dedicated stewardship of full-time resident owners and trainers, North Grove ensures unparalleled peace of mind, guaranteeing the utmost care for its equine residents. At North Grove, our overarching goal is to cultivate a nurturing equestrian environment, empowering riders to surpass their aspirations and thrive amidst a backdrop of excellence.

LESSONS

We have an Eventing based flatwork lesson program!

Open to junior or adult riders. School horses are available. Trailer-ins are welcome. Safe and professional learning atmosphere. Our objective is to build a rider’s skills to have basic dressage fundamentals and the feel and adjustability necessary to be confident and safe in cross country and show jumping.

Lessons are available 6 days a week with lesson packages starting at one ride per week. Lesson format is 45 minute time slots. Riders must bring boots, gloves and a helmet that fits them; safety is our priority. 

Cancellation policy- if less than 24 hr notice and time cannot be filled then a lesson fee will be charged. Otherwise make-ups can be arranged per request.

SCHOOLING

North Grove is open for schooling most days.  Dressage, cross country, and show jumping equipment is available on site.  Waiver required as well as proper vest on cross country.  Contact us by email to set up a visit.


David Misenhelter

Owner

Introducing David Misenhelter, a certified riding instructor specializing in training horses for mounted police operations. With a background of formal riding instruction rooted in traditional schooling fundamentals, David possesses an unparalleled skill set in producing calm, confident horses.

Since 2011, David has been selecting and training horses, as well as instructing riders for law enforcement duties. His unwavering commitment to continued education, particularly in eventing and dressage, has fortified his expertise over the years. Amidst the rigors of managing and producing both horses and riders, David has honed a remarkable ability to instill trust and discipline within the horse and rider dynamic.

David leverages resources in Ocala, Florida during winter. Additionally, he actively engages in professional development opportunities such as the annual Eventing Coaches Symposium, ensuring he stays current with the goals and objectives of the sport.

In every aspect of his work, David epitomizes dedication, expertise, and a profound passion for the sport of eventing. Whether in the saddle, instructing aspiring riders, or refining his own skills, he remains a driving force in our area.
